HTML Design tips

• Design the first page of your document as the Home page, including an introduction to the website and links to the other pages.

• Make sure that your pages are not cluttered. It is better to have fewer items on the page, arranged attractively, than an overcrowded page.

• Try to keep your graphics small. If they are too large, they will take a long time to be displayed.

• Make sure that your texts have plenty of space around them by enlarging the text boxes. If your website is displayed by a Web browser that uses large fonts, any text that doesn’t fit into the text box may be hidden. If you keep ‘spare’ space in the text boxes, you can prevent this.

• If you add features like animation and transitions, remember to build the document into a Dynamic Scenes website (DHTML). These features will not work in a regular HTML website.

• If you add some Styles to your site your will need to build with CSS. These features will not work with Simple HTML or Dynamic Scene websites.

You can insert a movie or other multimedia file into your document using the Insert Photo dialog.

To insert a movie:

1. Click "EDIT" button to display the Edit taskbar.

2. Choose Component and Multimedia from Insert Menu.

3. Browse to find the movie that you want to insert.

4. Click OK.

5. Click on the page where you want to display the movie.
